Dr. Smruthi Karthikeyan is currently an Assistant Professor at California Institute of Technology. Her research areas are microbiome, microbial ecology, modeling of microbial community dynamics to study ecosystem function, computational biology (multi-omics, genome-resolved metagenomics), environmental microbiology, high-throughput sequencing, and systems biology.
